THE VIZSLA IS A GENTLE WATER DOG

This breed is not common and I have seen few in private practice. They are strong muscular dogs. The Vizsla looks menacing just by their presence but in reality the breed is sweet and gentle! They are excellent hunting dogs but because they are so docile, make excellent family pets. If you are thinking about purchasing a Vizsla, make sure you have plenty of property on which it can exercise. This breed of dog will not tolerate city or even suburban environments. It can get claustrophobic in those environments making them destructive and hard to handle. The Vizsla belongs out in the country with land to spare. If raised in a suburban area, they must be exercised regularly.

A HEALTHY BREED OF DOG

In an exam room, the breed is easy to work on and tolerates most things that a veterinarian does! The breed really has no outstanding medical issues outside of ear infections due to their floppy ears.
